2025 CROP CHARITY WEEKEND SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
The Community Resource Opportunity Project (C.R.O.P) Foundation, Inc., a non-profit, 501(c)(3) community-based organization, announces the 2025-2026 C.R.O.P Foundation Scholarship Awards Program. Under the Program, at least five (5) $1000.00 scholarships and up to two (2)
$500.00 scholarships will be awarded to seniors attending a public high school in Hampton Roads, VA (including the Cities of Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, and Newport News).
One additional separate award, the Dr. Charles E. Harris scholarship for science and engineering in the amount of at least $1000.00, will be awarded to a recipient specifically to further science and engineering post-secondary studies. Applicants may be considered separately for this award.
Available Scholarships:
A Qualified Public High Schools in Hampton Roads: At least five (5) $1000.00 scholarships and up to two (2) $500.00 scholarships are available for seniors attending any public high school in the Hampton Roads, VA metropolitan area. In addition, one separate award for at least
$1000.00 will be available for a student to pursue studies in science and engineering.
Program Guidelines & Priorities:
* Seeking graduating seniors with a record of volunteerism in the community in non-school sponsored activities as well as participation in extracurricular school activities.
* Applicants for all awards must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, provide their family annual income and number of people living in the home on the application and plan to attend a two (2) or four (4) year college, university or technical school (to include skilled apprenticeship programs). Priority consideration will be given to those at or below a household income of $82,000/year based on the prior year’s IRS tax submission.
* Scholarship funds will be paid in August 2026 or January 2027 dependent upon the
student’s acceptance for the Fall 2026 semester or the Spring 2027 semester directly to the school and not to the student. It will be the student’s responsibility to submit to the Foundation at that time, information indicating the student ID number/or student account information and college information for payment.
* Applicants must have the endorsement of their Guidance Counselor with their application attesting they are a qualified fit for this scholarship program. The C.R.O.P Foundation strongly suggests that each participating high school present this opportunity to the strongest applicants that match this program’s guidelines. Application deadline is April 17, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. to be received by the Foundation. Late applications are not accepted.

C.R.O.P Foundation Scholarship Committee at cropfoundationscholarships@gmail.com by the aforementioned due date for consideration.
The applications will be reviewed and recipients selected by a committee consisting of volunteers from the C.R.O.P Foundation. Academic merit demonstrated community service/involvement, and family need (as determined by family income) are the selection criteria for this award. Priority consideration will be provided to applicants with a household income below $82,000/year based on the prior year’s IRS tax submission. The scholarships will be awarded on May 21, 2026, at our Annual Scholarship awards dinner.
